Traffic in Vietnam

Car rental in Vietnam is relatively inexpensive and considered to be convenient.  However, travelers who are unused to foreign travel should be aware that, in general, renting a car in Vietnam means renting a driver with the car. Car rental companies assign drivers as guides to assist visitors in getting around the area. The driver also knows where to stop for meal and bathroom breaks on the way. This is standard procedure and should be considered a good method of getting around and getting information about the area at the same time. However, it is recommended that reservations are made in advance, especially if traveling to Vietnam during the busy seasons or during the festivals such as Tet Holidays. Also note that self-drive car rental is not available to foreigners as the road in Vietnam is chaotic, bump and some of them are under construction or are blocked. In addition, in Vietnam, driver is always on the left while in some countries driver is on the right so you will probable be relieved that you got a driver.
